We are nearly half way into the month of May, and it has already been an eventful month for my family. This month we’re not only celebrating Mother’s Day, and honoring Memorial Day, we’re also celebrating several birthdays including my son’s 8th birthday, a high school graduation, and more. Most of our friends are on social media these days sharing milestones,
cherished memories, vacation photos, interesting and fun news, and announcing the arrival of their newest member of their family! It makes it so much easier to keep track of everyone by following along especially when they’re across the miles. Of course, some still prefer
the occasional phone call, but for me, it’s just so much faster to take a mobile photo, text it to grandparents, than sending it over email when they may or may not check the same day.

These photos above were taken this month. From left to right: We took a road-trip selfie on our way to Palm Springs; I took a photo of my son’s handmade card to me (loved it); My younger son was coming off the bus (I like capturing school days because they grow so fast); We bought a rose at Mother’s Day service to support a good cause; My son was making a birthday wish; and the bottom right photo is a photo I took from our hotel window because I wanted everyone to see how beautiful the mountains were that morning.

As you can see, capturing memories is especially important to us, because we like to share updates about our adventures. We couldn’t do it without an affordable data plan with our mobile service, and we couldn’t do it without fast 4G LTE data internet. We found a very affordable plan with Walmart Family Mobile service. Right now it’s only $29.88/month for the first line with Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data. If you need 3GB like me, it’s an additional $15/month. There is no contract and you can change your data option later. Setting it up was a very simple process too. I’ll tell you more about it below.

How to Set It Up

The mobile service is billed monthly. Unlike the Prepaid Plans, you will need an ID (such as your driver’s license) to set it up, and you will be billed automatically at the end of the billing cycle. Setting it up was easy. After you purchase your phone and starter kit, you can ask an authorized associate to help you activate your phone OR you can go home and do it online at www.myfamilymobile.com. I shopped super early in the morning before work so I later activated my phone from home. It took me about 15-20 minutes to set up my service, data, and online account. I was able to select my area code and it assigned me a phone number. The online account is optional, but I like checking my balances, account info, and paying my bills online.

After using and testing out Walmart Family Mobile, I am thinking about switching the whole family over. It includes everything my current plan includes PLUS I would be saving about $15 monthly after the initial set-up. It’s worth looking into! There is so much more going on this summer, and I want to capture it all. I am thrilled that I can do it over fast internet, and I can do it live while we’re on the road.
