How to Order at Chronic Tacos

Last night, the family and I stopped at CHRONIC TACOS at Bella Terra in Huntington Beach for dinner. The best way I know how to explain Chronic Tacos is… it’s like a Subways but for Tacos. The menu is pretty simple, but can be a little intimidating if it’s your first time and especially if there’s a line behind you. There are a few things you must know when you’re in line: Do you want a taco, burrito, salad, nachos, torta (sandwich), or quesadilla? Then you must decide what kind of protein – carne asada (marinated steak), pollo (chicken), carnitas (pork), fish, shrimp, or vegetarian? Moving down the line, they will ask you what do you want on your meat? Do you want a combo?

This really happened: Darren told me to order him a chicken salad and left to find a table. I wasn’t prepared to answer the following questions: What beans would you like? Do you want lettuce, cabbage, or onions? What about tomatoes or pico de gallo? Salsa, salsa verde, or guacamole? Next time, Darren will need to stay in line with me to answer all those questions himself! For myself, I ordered a Carne Asada torta (marinated steak sandwich), and they pretty much asked me all the same things. It was pretty tasty.
