THE HARRY POTTER FILM CONCERT SERIES returns to Orange County this month to perform the second film in the Harry Potter franchise - "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." Guests will be treated to the film playing on a 40-foot high definition screen while the 90-piece Pacific Symphony Orchestra performs live music from the film John Williams' score at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13, 2017. There will be three concerts.
In "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" cars fly, trees fight back, and everyone's favorite House Elf makes his cinematic debut. This year at Hogwarts, talking spiders, Harry's unsettling ability to speak parseltongue and rogue bludgers are just a few of the adventures that combine to create a year of adventure that will require all of Harry, Ron, and Hermione's magical ability and courage. The bewitching and amazing musical score for "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," composed by John Williams earned Grammy nomination, became an instant classic and delighted audiences around the world. Brady Beaubien of CineConcerts and Concert producer for the Harry Potter Film Concert series said:
"Harry Potter is synonymous with excitement around the world and we hope that by performing this incredible music with the full movie, audiences will enjoy returning to this world, and to the many wonderful characters and adventures that inhabit it."
