For a limited time, Denny's monthly feature is "Skillets Across America!" served on a hot iron skillet. Choose from Cali Avocado, Rio Ranchero, Philly Cheesesteak & Eggs, or South by Southwest (pictured below). Our South by Southwest Skillet came with grilled chicken breast, red-skinned potatoes, chorizo sausage, bell peppers, shredded Cheddar cheese, and Pepper Jack queso. It's DELICIOUS!
FIT FARE OPTION:
Looking for a lighter option? On Denny's Fit Fare menu, I sampled their Tilapia Ranchero with a side of broccoli, and whole grain rice. It's topped with fresh avocado slices and pico de gallo. LOVED IT! The combination of flavors were wonderful, and I especially liked their whole grain rice too. (PS It's my new favorite dish at Denny's).
DENNY'S KID'S MENU
We love that Denny's kid's menus are pictured and colorful. It makes figuring out what the kids want to eat less painful. Also, my kids tend to eat more when they have a say of what they're eating, and it's okay if they don't know how to read "spaghetti" or "gold fish crackers", because they can just circle the picture! They get to pick one main dish and one side dish. EASY! Also, we love the aquarium-themed menus this month. It makes great conversation and since we were headed to the aquarium, it was a great learning tool. Thanks, Denny's!

After our great dining experience, our family headed to the Aquarium of the Pacific to explore marine animals, watched scuba divers in the tank, pet sharks, observe Otters play, visited baby penguins, and fed lorikeet birds. There's more than 11,000 animals at the Aquarium so there's a favorite for everyone. The best part is we saved money while having fun ($14.95 per child)!
