Alternative Energy and Transportation Exhibition (AltCar Expo) - Santa Monica, CA Sept. 16-17th!

It's National Drive Electric Week! Ever wonder if an all-electric vehicle is for you? I have a hybrid not an all-electric, and I love it. I love that I am reducing the amount of pollution in the air, and we are saving money on fuel and other expenses. It became my preferred vehicle to run errands. I have been nervous about going all electric. How often do I plug in? Does it have enough power? I am looking forward to finding out this Friday or Saturday at the 11th Annual AltCar Expo in Santa Monica, California. The event allows drivers like us to come and learn how to plug-in, test drive, talk to plug-in owners, and see what is on the market right now.

For example, the Kia Soul EV, an all-electric vehicle (100% electric and 100% gas free), is a great eco-friendly option that seats five passengers, has five doors, and you can plug it into a standard household outlet to charge the battery. (No special outlet required at home). The Soul EV is the first vehicle ever manufactured to feature a true "driver-only" ventilation system which saves even more on energy. Just press that "driver-only" button on the dash and it turns off the passenger dashboard and foot ventilation. On average, one charge will reach about 90 miles with the Soul EV. PLUS it qualifies for a federal tax credit up to $7,500 depending on the state you live in! It is one of the vehicles I will be checking out during the Alt Car Expo!
