TICKET GIVEAWAY: Harbor Breeze Cruises Whale Watching + Aquarium of the Pacific #lbwhales

We could spend a whole day in Long Beach. Most recently, we went whale watching with Harbor Breeze Cruises for two hours and then stopped into the Aquarium of the Pacific right after to grab lunch and explore more marine life. It was a great day to be on the water, because we saw several animals including a gray whale, a fin whale, a humpback whale, and dolphins. What's unique about Harbor Breeze is that they have stadium seating in the front of the boat. You'll want to bundle up though, because it gets really cold on the water at high speeds.

How to find them:

Harbor Breeze Cruises is located right next to Aquarium of the Pacific at Dock #2. You'll want to get there at least 30 minutes before departure. They offer different types of packages (see below).

Whale watching is all year long, and you never know what you're going to see. Sometimes they breach when they jump out of the water, however, on our trip this time, we saw several whale flukes and some blows. The dolphins are always fun to watch when their pods swim alongside our boat. Everyone is always on the watch because it happens so fast. (I captured these photos below using my DSLR and a zoom lens.)

What an exciting trip! After whale watching, we all went next door to grab lunch at Cafe Scuba and spent another few hours visiting the marine life at Aquarium of the Pacific. My favorite are the jellies and walking through the Soft Coral Tunnel, and my boys like the sea otters and the shark exhibit. The penguins are also really cute to watch.
