In COLLISION COURSE, Scrat accidentally falls into the spaceship while pursuing his beloved acorn, and activates it launching him into space. He sets off a series of chain reactions and it becomes his version of the Big Bang. It's catastrophic but his version is pretty hilarious. It causes a meteor shower threatening the Ice Age World so Manny (Ray Romano) and his friends has to find a way to save everyone. Manny is also having a hard time with Peaches (Keke Palmer) wanting to move away after her wedding.

Co-Director, Galen Chu, and Head of Story, Jony Chandra, flew in from New York for a special features demonstration. There were parts of the film that had to get cut, because they couldn't fit it all in, but they included it as part of the Special Features on the Blu-ray and DVD.
- "Scrat: Spaced Out Mini-Movie"
- "Ice Age: The Story So Far"
- "Scatasia: Scrat's Solo Adventures"
- "Mysteries of the Scratazons"
- "Star Signs of the Animal Kingdom"
- "The Science of It All: deGrasse Tyson deBunks"
- "Figaro Sing-along"
UCLA Professor, Abby Kavner, was also there that morning for the presentation teaching us about space rocks. She passed around some of the oldest rocks that ever existed. The rock we held in our hand below is over 4.5 billion years old!
"Asteroids orbit around the sun. When an asteroid is knocked out of its orbit, it falls down to earth. Those are called meteorite which are pieces of planets billions of years old. They're the same age as the solar system."

Discovery Cube OC
There are quite a few permanent exhibits at Discovery Cube OC that is great for little space explorers and ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE movie fans like the Planetary Research Station, Mission Control, Science of Hockey (because that's Peaches and Manny's favorite game together), and Boeing Rocket Lab. Discovery Cube is located at 2500 N Main St in Santa Ana, California.

We are already fans of ICE AGE movies, and the new movie makes a great addition to the series. My kids thought the spaceship was very cool, and I loved the new colorful world that they found. Touring Discovery Cube OC's exhibits in addition to watching the film was very educational and a fun way to introduce the children to the space world.
