Summer Menu at Islands Burgers + Giveaway! #LetsPlayOC

This summer Islands Burgers brought back their Heat Wave Burger. I went in for a tasting and it was just as delicious as I remembered it. It has the perfect combo of grilled serrano and green chiles, pepper jack cheese, tomato, red onion, lettuce & spicy mayo. I added avocado to help with the heat and it was great. It's served with fresh cut Island Fries, but I got mine with sweet potato fries. It's on the menu for $12.19 and only back for a limited time. 

If it makes you thirsty, they recommend pairing it with their new Hula Bay IPA with aromas of citrus, grapefruit, tangerine & pine from Amarillo hops. Hula Bay IPA is a light bodied, dry brew created by the San Clemente-based brewery to pair with Islands’ signature burgers and fare. Available in two sizes - $6.50 regular 16 oz, $8.35 large 22 oz. One of their new tropical cocktail is the Colada Sunset. It's Islands' twist to the classic piña colada which has pineapple, coconut cream, and a float of Myers's Rum. I think it's my new favorite tropical drink!

Not in the mood for a burger, try their Hoisin Bowl. Get it with either grilled chicken or mahi mahi. Pick the hoisin sauce or teriyaki. It also comes with fresh grilled pineapple, red bell peppers, snow peas, water chestnuts, red onions, and broccoli & diced scallions. They serve it over brown rice. 

Hungry and need something to share? Their Island Nachos is loaded with cheddar, jack, jalapeños, tomatoes, refried beans, sour cream & guacamole, and served with a side of salsa. (Optional add-on: spicy chicken, or chili for an additional fee).

Let's not forget about the kids. Children 6 and under can order one of these for $4.09 (includes drink and a choice of side): Slider, Slider with Cheese, Half Grilled Cheese Sandwich, or Chicken Tenders. Children Ages 7-12 have these options ($5.25 includes drink & choice of side): Jr Wave Burger, Hot Dog, Mac & Cheese Quesadilla, Noodles, or Grilled Cheese. For gremmie sides, select from Island Fries, Apple Sauce, Steamed Broccoli, Caesar Salad, Garden Salad, Fresh Pineapple with Yogurt Dip, or Fresh Apple with Yogurt Dip. Gremmie desserts are also available. 

Dessert

Need a beautiful and tasty ending? Complete your meal with a Kona Pie dessert at Islands, and don't let the Mocha Almond Fudge ice cream melt. It also has a cookie crust and they top it with chocolate fudge, whipped cream, roasted almonds (optional) and a cherry. 

Beach Cruiser Giveaway
