I just got the line-up for the Summer Movie Mondays at Segerstrom Center and they're pretty good.  The screening is free and Patina Catering have special themed menu items for each movie. Check it out below...

2013 summer movie line-up includes:

• Monday, July 8 - The Wedding Singer
  Rated PG - 13, 1998, 1 hour and 35 minutes

• Monday, July 15 - Buena Vista Social Club
  Rated G, 1999, 1 hour and 45  minutes

• Monday, July 22 - The Lion King  Mulan
  Rated G, 1994, 1 hour and 29 minutes  

• Monday, July 29 - The Phantom of the Opera
  Rated PG-13, 2004, 2 hours and 23 minutes

• Monday, August 5 - Evita
  Rated PG, 1996, 2 hours and 15 minutes

Returning for the seventh summer, Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ free Movie Mondays will continue the popular summer pastime of providing great entertainment on the Arts Plaza for Orange County audiences to enjoy.

WHEN AND WHERE
The popular films are projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall at 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, CA. Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs or other easily portable seating items. Set-up begins at 5:30 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk (approximately 8 pm). Guests may bring their own snacks and picnic suppers. PATINA CATERING This year Patina Catering has created special themed menus for each movie in addition to offering a selection of assorted snacks and beverages available for purchase. Barbecues and similar food preparation are not permitted. You can download their menu here.

Pre-Order Platters (serves 2 –4) must be ordered by the previous Friday at 5 p.m. Please call the Special Events line at (714) 556-2122 extension 4202.

• Assorted Cheeses and Charcuterie – Double Cream Brie, Chipotle Cheddar, Vella Jack, San Danielle Prosciutto, dry aged salami, grapes, olives, marinated peppers, dried fruit, crackers: $18 plus tax and service charge 

• Sweets Platter – 6 assorted cookies, 4 brownies, 4 chocolate covered strawberries: $12 plus tax and service charge 

• Chocolate Fondue Platter – strawberries, pineapple, brownie bites, pound cake bites, marshmallows, chocolate sauce: $15 plus tax and service charge

• Grilled cheese sandwiches: $4 each

• Churros: $3 each

• Monday, July 22 - The Lion King Mulan
• Vegetable egg rolls and chicken pot stickers with soy and sweet chili dipping sauce (6 pieces): $5
• Grilled chicken bánh mi, pickled carrot, cucumber, cilantro jalapeño aioli: $4
• Hand-scooped ice cream sandwich: $3

• Monday, July 29 - The Phantom of the Opera
• Croque monsieur (grilled ham and cheese sandwich): $6 each
• Grilled cheese sandwiches: $4 each
• Charcuterie and cheese plates: $6 each
• Crepe station: $4 each

• Monday, August 5 - Evita
• Beef and vegetable skewers with chimichurri: $6 for 2 skewers
• Tres leches parfait: $3 each

CONTESTS
There will be themed contests before each screening. Past contests have included trivia games and dance competitions. Contests are open to all movie - goers and start at approximately 7:30 p.m. Prizes will be tickets to shows, DVDs and other fun-filled items.

ALSO NOTE: As part of the Center's partnership with the Newport Beach Film Festival, a selection of the best animated short films from this year’s festival will be shown prior to each week's main feature.
