FOOD REVIEW: Two New Burritos at Rubio's! | @RubiosTweets

When we think about Rubio’s we think about their fresh and always yummy fish tacos, but there are new items on the menu and it’s as fresh and delicious as the original tacos. Introducing, the Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito and the revamped fan favorite, Burrito Especial. This Saturday night my family and I decided to go for a healthy but flavorful dinner, so we decided to go to Rubio’s and try their new items.

That Ancho Citrus Shrimp Burrito was to die for!!! It was beautiful combination of flavors in your mouth and the shrimp was nice and juicy. Any shrimp lover will enjoy this dish. It features pan-seared shrimp, basted in ancho chiles, garlic, cilantro, a blend of canola and olive oil and lime.

The newly revamped Burrito Especial finds the perfect balance of flavors and makes me look forward to all the experiences to come for 2014. It can either be chicken or steak, marinated in garlic, onion, pepper, and a special blend of spices. So good!

Both burritos include Rubio’s new citrus rice, flavored with lime juice and lemongrass. And are served in warm flour tortillas, with fresh guacamole, black beans, salsa fresca, romaine lettuce, a creamy chipotle sauce and red tomatillo salsa.

We also tried their delicious Chicken Grilled Grande Bowl, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and, of course, the Original Fish Tacos. What a feast!

COOL TIP:

If you see this symbol on their menus, you will know that the dish has sustainable seafood from responsibly managed fisheries that maintain healthy fish population and ecosystems.

Way to go Rubios!!!
