We saw Disney Planes during a media pre-screening and thought it was great. Dusty, a crop duster (who is afraid of heights), wants to change his fate and become a racer. There were lots of funny moments and fast flying-action. It's about an underdog who is often discouraged and ridiculed, but through his bravely and positive spirit, enters the world race, warm the hearts of his competition, and gained fans. Overall, the movie was fun to watch.
"It's not speed that wins racing, it's skill."
When we were at the D23 Expo, we stopped to check out some of the toys. You might have noticed them in stores already.
How fun are these for Back-to-School:
Disney Planes backpack, shoes, cap
Disney Planes backpack, shoes, cap
Disney Planes bike with training wheels.
Dusty Remote Control Plane
Disney Planes Figurines
More from the clothing line.

Anthony Mai, a recent graduate from Otis College of Art and Design, began his career at Disney Consumer Products as a 3-D Artist in August 2012. Since then, Anthony has worked on creating a "chunky" style of Disney Planes characters for application in product development. Anthony has also worked on numerous projects that have helped bring classic 2-D Disney characters into the 3-D world.
I was there briefly, but I thought it was really neat to see some of the behind-the-scenes, and hear him talk about his concepts with fans.
Did you see Disney Planes? What did you think of the movie?
Disclosure: We attended a pre-screening of Disney Planes as well as D23 Expo as a member of the media to share a review with our readers. All opinion are our own. All photos by LetsPlayOC.com.
