Lately, my family and I have enjoyed miniature golfing together. We played on Catalina Island and again when our nieces and nephews were in town. My kids don't necessarily understand the rules, but we have fun nonetheless. Last month, my son turned six and so it was no surprise that he picked Boomers! to have his party (PLUS we've been wanting the aunts and uncles to see why we like it too.)

BOOKING IT
Booking the party was easy breezy. I wanted somewhere I didn't have to pick up a bunch of food or clean up after. They have a ton of options and they do everything. All you have to do is bring a cake and just show up.
PACKAGES
Boomers had several options for group play, but I really wanted the "unlimited" bracelets. That way, I didn't have to get a head count for each attraction and miss the whole day. Packages start at $12.99 for one round of miniature golf and includes everything listed below. The $16.99 Deluxe Package includes everything below plus unlimited Rock Wall, Miniature Golf, Bumper Boats, Kiddie Big Top Rides and Whirly Bird. If you want to include Unlimited Go Karts, that's the Ultimate Package at $21.99. Do it during the week and get it at $16.99!Every Package includes:
- 1.5 hour of Reserved time at the party table with a party host.
- Balloons
- Personalized sign
- Paper Products
- Personal Pizza (cheese or pepperoni)
- Fruit Punch
- 20 tokens
- 25 redemption tickets
- 100 Redemption tickets
The aunts and uncles enjoyed racing around the track. NOTE: There are height restrictions, and do NOT wear flip flops. Sandals are okay, but they needed the backings. You'll want to let your party know ahead of time if they plan to race to not wear flip flops. It was my bad that a few missed our same day memo. Sorry guys!
ARCADES
There are two arcades at Fountain Valley. One next to the private party room and the other is located by the golf course located on the other side of the parking lot.
This was not easy. I really wanted to win one of these Star Wars Angry Birds.
BUMPER BOATS
This was the highlight of our day. We had a family "splash"-down on the bumper boats. We were soaked, couldn't stop laughing, and did it TWICE.

ORDERING FOOD:
For food, most of my guests wanted supreme pizza and they didn't have it as part of the package so I upgraded it for pizza slices and paid the difference. They also have party platters available. We added the veggie platter, fruit platter, and chicken wings and tender combo. I'm really glad I did this, because I wanted to give my guests a healthy variety. NOTE: No outside food allowed inside the private party room, however, there are also covered tables outside. Check out our spread below.
OPTIONAL Party Platters:
- Veggie platter,
- Fruit platter,
- Chicken Wings & Tenders Combo Platter
- Garden Salad and
- Chicken Wings Platter.
Birthday Cake
Birthday Themed-Cupcakes
Themed-cupcakes are always fun. You can pick up some at your local grocery stores. We have a Chef in the family so were blessed with Auntie Leyna's famous "Stawberrilious" cupcakes. She also added themed toppers.
EASY PARTY FAVORS - $2.50 each
This was totally optional, but it saved me a ton of time. They come in blue, pink, yellow and green.
PARTY ROOMS
At Boomers! Fountain Valley, they have a large themed-party room that's shared (pictured below) or you can reserve their private party room where we were at. I actually loved the themed room and hope they will dress up the private room.
LAST TIP:
Plan to be there for at least 3 hours and let your guests know that too. Because everything was spread out, it was hard to keep the group together. You could try handing out a detailed itinerary so that everyone is on the same page.
Boomers! Fountain Valley is located at 16800 Magnolia Street, Fountain Valley, California. For more information and to find a location nearest you, please visit www.boomersparks.com.
Have you been to Boomers!? What's your favorite?
