Welcome to Part 4 of Our Snow Adventures in Colorado. One of activities on our list was snow tubing. Not far from Breckenridge is Frisco Adventure Park. I believe there are two locations you can snow tube in the area, however, my sister-in-law (aka the planner) did the research and even checked height restrictions! (Keystone's minimum height restriction was 42" and Frisco's was 36"). With our shortest person at 40", we went with the obvious choice.

Reservations are highly recommended especially during peak season. To maximize your full hour of tubing fun, you'll want to arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation (to fill out paperwork and watch a safety video).


These are my boys pulling their sleds to the escalator. It's an easy hike and once you're on the belt, you'll want to relax and enjoy the view.


At the top of tubing hill, the hardest decision you'll have to make is - Which lane to ride? You can also ride in clusters of two and four. (Local tip: the heavier the group, the faster and further you'll ride).

While we were up there, we were enjoying the amazing views around us (Dillon Reservoir, Frisco, the Ten Mile Range and the Gore Range.) It also snowed off and on while we were there. Just beautiful!

We had six 1,200 feet lanes to choose from and a full-hour to ride as many times as we want. We were also tubing to 80's music.

Afterwards, you can warm up in the Day Lodge by the fireplace and enjoy refreshments. It's also a great meet-up point for the group with lots of seating area. The snack bar offers chili, nachos, hot chocolate, coffee, candy, chips, schnapps, and Colorado micro-brews.

Overall, snow tubing at Frisco Adventure Park was pretty fun. Our kids LOVED it! We liked that it was easy to get to and that they limit the amount of tubers on the hill to avoid overcrowding. (We didn't have to wait in long lines.) Members in our group were able to ride at their own pace. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We also liked the lounge. (It was a nice and warm area to wait for the rest of the party). Thanks, Frisco Adventure Park, for a wonderful tubing experience!

BEGINNER SKI/RIDE HILL: Frisco Adventure Park also offers a beginner ride and ski hill which is less crowded and less intimidating than other slopes in the area. Adults and children can learn without the pressures of having others being on the slopes with them. Copper Mountain also teaches lessons here with an eye towards progressive learning to transition over to Copper Mountain. It offers a great way to learn a new sport with your family.
