Inside LEGO Legends of CHIMA Water Park @Legoland_CA | #LegendsofChima

We had the pleasure of visiting LEGOLAND California last week for the first time to preview the brand new addition to the water park, Legends of CHIMA Water Park. As we entered the water park area, we walked past the existing portion and onto the new CHIMA area. I have to admit, we were a little put off by the overcast weather we were given for this exciting day. However, when we arrived, we were all pleasantly surprised to find that they heated the water to 80 degrees! (This is all the time, not just when it is overcast!!)  The water was the perfect temperature!

Cragger's Swamp was an interactive water play area with a crocodile and super kid-friendly!! Of course, the crocodile was a double slide. (This is where we spent most of out time). The boys loved it so much, they didn't want to leave!! For a mom, it was a nice area to stand in the water and watch boys be boys while they slid down water slides, shot water cannons, and waded in the water that is only about a foot deep.

Once I was able to talk Brayden and Blake into exploring the rest of the park....boy were they glad they did!! We took a short walk up to the Eglor's Build a Boat area. You guessed it, we got to build a boat out of LEGO's and sail the open sea....well, the water area set up for you that SEEMS like the open sea if you were my kids!!

Then, it was on to the Lion Temple Wave Pool!! (This water was also heated to a comfortable 80 degrees.) There is a large Lego lion temple archway to walk through as well as a 30 foot tall floating "Mount Cavora". This has water features all the way around it. The area is very well patrolled by the lifeguards on duty who kept a very watchful eye on the happenings in the wave pool. We felt totally safe!

Note: If you are under 42 inches, you must be accompanied by an adult, AND be wearing a life jacket to enter the pool.

Next to the wave pool area is Rhino Beach, a nice sandy area to lounge in a chair and/or snack on food from the nearby Wolves' Cantina. There is also another interactive play area at Speedorz Arena where you can race your LEGO's down OR up a ramp!!

All in all, we had a terrific time spending the day at the LEGO Legends of CHIMA Water Park!! This is a fantastic addition to the existing water park that we are sure to enjoy over and over!!

Thanks, LEGOLAND! We can't wait to come back to play!
