Directed by Lasse Hallström, the cast includes:
- Helen Mirren (Madame Mallory), Academy Award winner best known for her portrayal in 2006 “The Queen”,
- Om Puri (Papa) one of India’s most celebrated actors,
- Manish Dayal (Hassan Kadam), and
- Chrlotte Le Bon (Marguerite).
Producers like Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey make this novel based movie an extraordinary one. It shows how sometimes one must break free of their culture and heritage and go out into the world to fulfill their dreams or experience the unknown.
"In DreamWorks Pictures’ The Hundred-Foot Journey, the opening of a new Indian restaurant in the south of France next to a famous Michelin-starred eatery is nearly cause for a heated battle between the two establishments, until Le Saule Pleureur’s icy proprietress, Madame Mallory, recognizes her rival’s undeniable brilliance for preparing masterful meals."
The Hundred-Foot Journey is rated PG and now playing in theaters!
