Last October, we took a road trip to the Central Coast of California to Holman Ranch Vineyards in Carmel Valley, California to attend a media tour. Located about 12 miles inland from the Pacific Coast, it was an easy drive over from the City of Carmel (you can also get there from Monterey or US-101).  Once you arrive to Carmel Valley, you will have access to various winery tasting rooms from different vineyards within close proximity from each other. It is a really cute town and a great option for wine tasting!

Holman Ranch is actually a private residence and all visits are by appointment only. You are either there for a special event such as a wedding, a corporate event, retreat, or you were invited (we were invited to a private press tour of the ranch).

A Beautiful Vineyard! 

As mentioned, it's a private residence so you can't just drive there, and want to tour or stay on the ranch. However, if you were a lucky invited guest, you can tour their vineyard! Holman Ranch is one of six in the area that have ground caves. We walked around the beautiful vineyard and also tasted various wines from their barrels inside "The Cave". It was a truly unique experience and was fun and educational.

Wedding Venue

The estate is best known as a wedding venue with a stunning picturesque backdrop of the valley and vineyards. We loved touring the property. There are many great picture perfect spots for photo shoots. Morning walks around the venue is a must!

Ranch-Style Guest Rooms!
There are 10 guest rooms available for event hosts in rustic ranch styles. Our stay was very comfortable, peaceful, and charming!

Amenities included a swimming pool, fitness center, a dance hall, a chapel, full kitchen, and game room. They really designed it with the wedding party in mind, because the Groomsmen will love their game room equipped with a bar and pool table! (The bridal party will love their room too!)
