Yesterday we attended a Monster Truck Meet-and-Greet at Maxwell Elementary School in Anaheim. Kids from the Anaheim Achieves After-School Program were invited to experience a real-life lesson in engineering and technology with an official Monster Jam truck - MENACE!
Kids received their own K’Nex Monster Jam truck builder sets to create mini replicas of the two-ton super trucks, meet with the driver and his "pit crew team", watch a tire change, learn how the truck is constructed using advanced technology and engineering to withstand crashing through stadiums, and will compare their version to the mechanics of a 10,000 pound real truck. The appearance complements the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum program.
Disclosure: We will receive tickets to the event for reviewing purposes. All opinions are our own. Images are by LetsPlayOC.com.
