Most recently a group of us felt brave enough to enter "the fog" at Knott's Scary Farm during media preview night. On select dates in October, Scary Farm brings out monsters and opens up mazes for all to enjoy Plus all the rides are open too!
Walking through the thick fog in Ghost Town causes anxieties, because you never know what's in the fog lurking and waiting for you. Somehow the monsters just sense fear. Other scare zones include CarnEVIL at The Boardwalk, Fiesta De Los Muertos in Fiesta Village, and NEW for 2015- The Deadly 7 which is park wide!
Gate Opens at 7 PM!
Of course, to make the most of the night, you want to be there right when the park opens at 7 pm. There are 11 mazes to cover in 6-7 hours depending on what night you end up going. Yes, monsters will await at the gate. If you're scared, get going and leave that area as soon as possible! If you're lucky, they don't see you and start chasing after you!
New Mazes This Year!
New this year is My Bloody Clementine at the haunted Calico Mine ride, The Dead of Winter: Revenge inside the Boardwalk Room, PARANORMAL, INC: Case #1 near Ghost Rider, and a revised Special Ops: INFECTED - Patient Zero with new missions and more zombies throughout six acres near Camp Spooky.
TIP for Special Ops: INFECTED! Expect long waits at this highly anticipated maze, because everyone wants to get in to eliminate zombies! You'll want to head over there to get enlisted immediately and also to get a time card to return for your mission. (Even with a time card, you'll still have to wait to get in.)

Live Shows!
There are two comedy live shows during Knott's Scary Farm:- Elvira's Asylum at the Charles M. Scultz Theatre nightly at 9:00 pm and 11:30 pm, and
- The Hanging in Calico Square nightly at 8:00, 9:30 & 11:00 pm.
My friends and I visited 10 out of 11 mazes that night thanks to Fright Lane Wristbands! Scary Farm Season Passes are also available if you like to take your time and not rush. Regretfully, we didn't make it to INFECTED, but I must say my favorite new maze is PARANORMAL! My other favorites are: Trick or Treat and Voodoo. Forevermore and The Tooth Fairy is just as scary as ever! Be advised. Knott's Scary Farm is not for young children. I was traumatized by the end of the night by all the violence in the mazes. Would I do it again? Absolutely!
