What's New for Knotts Spooky Farm 2015! Plus Insider Tips!

Looking for a Halloween Event fun for the whole family? Over the weekend we attended a media preview of Knott's Spooky Farm in Buena Park. Weekends in October, children can dress up and play all day at Knott's Berry Farm's daytime non-scary Halloween Celebration! Activities new this year includes Ghost Town Treat Stops, Spooky Hollow Maze, Monster Masquerade Ball, and a Creepy Crawler Cabin. There's also a Snoopy's Costume Contest and Dance Party and "Monsters are Coming Charlie Brown" Show! You'll get all this and access to all the rides! Check out my tips below! 

TIP #1 - Save the map! 

I know you cannot wait to get started, but upon entering the park, be sure to grab a treat bag for each kiddo. They'll need it to get treats, and don't lose the map! On the back of the map, is an itinerary of all the themed-activities which includes the time and where to find it. They will also need the map to collect candy at the stations. 

Tip #2 - Ghost Town Treat Stops 

You'll find non-scary friendly-ghosts in Ghost Town Main Street like Drac the Undertaker, The GhostRider Sheriff, and The Werewolf Barber. There are 6 Stops.  I was intimidated when I saw how long the line is, but since there are 6 stations, you don't have to go in order. The line actually moves pretty fast, but what takes so long is the photo-line with the ghosts and ringing the doorbell. 

TIP #3 - Spooky Hollow Maze

Also new this year is the Spooky Hollow Maze located in Fiesta Plaza. There are lots of photo opportunities here in the Spooky Forest so don't put your camera away. Kids will visit a non-scary tombstone and walk through a spinning tunnel. (Younger kids might get a little spooked and you might get a little dizzy). There's also an optional craft for $5 if you want to decorate your own pumpkin. If you're lucky, you'll get a surprise visit from the Headless Horsemen!

Tip #4 - Bring a Change of Clothes! 

Because only children are allowed to wear costumes, it may be a warm day for them. Pack a change of clothes just in case. Snoopy's Costume Contest and Dance Party is located at Camp Snoopy Theatre and begins at 3:45 pm!

• Find the Creepy Crawler Cabin in the Pony Express Rangers Station where you can observe or hold a friendly praying mantis, beetles and more.
• Design a masquerade mask, dance, and sing karaoke at Monster Masquerade Ball located in the Boardwalk Ballroom. 
• Head over to Camp Spooky Theatre to join the Peanuts Gang in "The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown". They're throwing a Halloween Party and you're invited!

We love this time of year! Halloween for us is a month-long celebration!
