Face Your Darkest Fears at Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor 2015!

Disclosure: I went to a media preview.

It is no surprise that the unrested come out to play at the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor. The legendary Queen Mary in Long Beach is full of history and has an eerie past. It has seen the Great Depression, World War II, and was the heyday of transatlantic travel during the late 40’s and 50’s. This historic vessel has been converted into a haunted playground for spirits, ghouls, and freaks! I am always up for a scare, but boarding this ship was my biggest nightmare ever…. Yikes!

This year at Dark Harbor, there are over 200 monsters and ghouls that plot in terrifying tricks and treats throughout this season of terror. The fierce sea queen greeted me most cynically. If you share my love for horror, here is a list of things to do at #DarkHarbor2015. Are you ready to face your darkest fears?

New Attractions include:

  • Scary Mary’s Lullaby Maze: This lullaby maze is dark and tells the story of little Scary Mary. Mary is looking for playmates to join her in hell… Do you want to play?
  • Side Freak Show and Oddities: Circus freaks and clowns have always creeped me out. This maze is seriously twisted and had me on edge… Experience disoriented illusions, dark magic, and a freak sideshow.
  • Curse Of Anibus- A Paintball Adventure: In the Anubis underworld, I was able to face my fears face to face. In this interactive paintball battle with mummies, monsters, and myths. Those who enter the tombs venture into Greek Egyptian jackal-headed god of mummification and the afterlife.
