One of our favorite family-friendly things to do on Santa Catalina Island is play at Golf Gardens Miniature Golf. My kids found a love for it last year. They don't swing very well and sometimes hold the club upside down, but they have great fun, and it's a nice way for the boys to bond. Prepare to spend 1 to 2 hours here.
This is the last hole. Warning: there's no way to retrieve your ball. My kids were disappointed that it was over. Maybe we should have given them the heads up for that. =)

Playing mini-golf at Golf Gardens is a great inexpensive way to spend quality time with the family and is now a tradition for us on Catalina Island. It's also fun for all ages. For example, there was an elderly man with his son behind us. We took forever to make it all the way around, but they did not rush us and did not want to pass us up. The nice man told us to take our time, because he needed to take lots of breaks anyway. =) Thanks for a great afternoon, Golf Gardens!
