Thank you for joining us for Day 10 of our online Blogiversary Party! You might have noticed we've been in Long Beach recently checking out the new Jellies Exhibit at the Aquarium of the Pacific and Blue Whale Watching with Harbor Breeze Cruises. One of the things I love about play dates at the aquarium is that you're never too young to enjoy the aquarium.

The Jellies
New this summer, the Aquarium of the Pacific added more Jellies throughout the aquarium. My favorite jelly fish are the Upside Down Jellies found in the Tropical Pacific Gallery, but they don't picture well because of the gray pewter colors. You can find jellies in all different sizes and shapes; they're just fun to watch. Pictured below are Spotted Lagoon Jellies, Pacific Sea Nettles, Moon Jellies, and the Redeye Medusa. They also have a designated area where you can touch Jellies which makes a great learning experience. (I took these with my DSLR).

Whale Watching
Recently we joined Aquarium of the Pacific experts on a Blue Whale Excursion with Harbor Breeze Cruises. That morning, we were very fortunate to spot a blue whale, and at one point, it fluked! They are fast! I thought we spotted several, but was shocked to learn that it was the same whale all morning.

What I like about the Triumphant at Harbor Breeze Cruises is the stadium seating on the boat. Everyone gets a great view PLUS it's super fast!

We loved being on the water with Harbor Breeze Cruises and the Aquarium of the Pacific experts. It gets cold when they are at booking it at top speeds so if you go, make sure you dress everyone in layers. We always have a great time at the Aquarium and can spend hours there. Learning about the various sea creatures never get old. For this blogiversary prize, I am happy to announce that one lucky reader will get tickets to both Whale Watching AND the Aquarium!
