Last month my friend Kirstin and I were invited to tour the new play arena in Irvine called Playland Café. Here's what we found:
Bright and Colorful Play Structure Components. What is unique about this structure is it was strategically designed by a school teacher. Every space is utilized to maximize play (over 25 learning features!)
Foam Shooting Range. 
Multiple Levels of Fun.

Bright and Colorful Slides. There are two sets of slides - one for bigger kids and adults and the other is a toddler slide which is located toward the large blue blocks. See picture blow.
Wanna race??
Large blue blocks. This family is building a fort.
Science Camps. This Mad Scientist is teaching them how to make gooey goo. Check their website to inquire about upcoming summer camps and schedules.
Party Room. It also has a plasma screen TV.
Why call it a Café?They call it a Café because it's a full functional Café which they will serve desserts and drinks such as coffee and tea. You can socialize with your friends while keeping an eye on your kids from behind a glass.
How do you find Playland Café?
It may not be so easy to spot because all the business buildings look the same, but it's on the south side (closer to Jefferey). HINT: If you're entering off Roosevelt and Nimitz from Jefferey, once inside the business parking lot, go left toward Jefferey. This is what it looks like from the outside:
