We were invited to a blogger preview of the the NEW SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza restaurant in Orange, CA.SPIN! Orange opened in May 2013 and is their first restaurant outside of Kansas City. It is also their first of 37 locations to be open in Southern California. The next SPIN! will open in early 2014 in Los Alamitos, CA.
Some Fun Facts:
- SPIN!'s menu is created by James Beard Award winning Chef Michael Smith.
- Si Gira! Si Mangia! Si Piace! means SPIN! EAT! ENJOY!
- Neapolitan means originating in the city of Naples Italy.
- They have a gluten-free pizza with dairy-free cheese options on their menu.
- They caramelize about 125 lbs of onions each day.
- They stone oven roast all of their vegetables and meats for their pizzas and sandwiches.
- Everything on their menu is homemade, including soups, dressings, croutons, and spreads
Upon entering the restaurant, friendly Stephen greeting us and introduced the menu to us.
My husband enjoyed their BBQ DI POLLO E PINEAPPLE (BBQ Chicken with Pineapple) made with two different Lucille's BBQ sauces. ($13.95)
I went for their MARGHERITA. It was also crowned as one of the best dishes of 2012 by Restaurant Business magazine and has been awarded best pizza honors by numerous publications in its hometown of Kansas City. ($11.45)

KID'S MENU - THE BAMBINI
The restaurant has a kid-friendly menu called the Bambini. Choose from a kid-sized cheese or pepperoni pizza or mac & cheese. Also includes a mini-gelato and drink. ($4.95)

For dessert, we tried some of their GELATOS - Delicious! Their gelatos are made with fresh fruit, real extracts and spices, milk, cream, sugar, and other pure simple ingredients.
