New Christmas Shows at SeaWorld! #ChristmasAtSeaWorld

Last Friday, we attended a media preview of all the new Christmas Shows at SeaWorld San Diego. All the shows were approximately 20 minutes so there was plenty of time to see them all. Upon entering, we stopped by the Explorer's Reef and the children enjoyed visiting the cleaner fish. (Throughout the day, they kept asking to go back to get kissed by the fish.) You can also touch horseshoe crabs, sting rays, and bamboo sharks. They were still setting up Santa's Christmas Village when we walked by but it was scheduled to open the next day (November 21, 2015) with nightly singalongs to the Tree Lighting Ceremony with Mrs. Claus.

We then headed over to catch the Dolphin Island Christmas Show at Dolphins Stadium. It was a fun Christmas-themed show with a tropical twist! They were singing Christmas music with an "island" touch. The animals were amazing to watch as always. No one ever takes the "Soak Zone" signs seriously. It was hilarious to see audience members get splashed. I was glad it wasn't me. =) They also had island dancers.

Pets Rule Christmas at Pets Rule Stadium is soooo cute! All the pets you can think of (dogs, cats, pigs, and birds, etc.) come together to decorate for Christmas. They also have a Winter Games competition, they built a Snowman together, and more! Yes, there are kangaroos in the show!

After the show, we stopped into the Wild Artic and Penguin Encounter. The chilly temperatures will surely get you in the spirit of Christmas, because it got us thinking about the North Pole and the elves working hard this time of year. Hint: I especially loved the holiday display inside the Penguin Encounter.

Clyde & Seamore’s Christmas Special at Sea Lion and Otter Stadium is a comedic act that's fun for all ages. The animals are getting ready for Christmas, and we laughed all the way!

A Sesame Street Christmas at Mission Bay Theatre is cute story about Abby learning the traditions of Christmas. All our favorite Sesame friends are there sharing their favorite stories. The kids will love it when it starts to snow!
"After singing Christmas carols, learning about Santa, reindeer, jingle bells and gift giving, Abby discovers the true meaning of Christmas."

The finale for the night was Shamu Christmas Miracles at Shamu Stadium. It is a breathtaking and beautiful nighttime show about every day miracles. While we waited for it to begin, we enjoyed live music and short snippets of what everyone considers a miracle.

It was pretty fun visiting SeaWorld this time of year. All the shows were entertaining. I think it's great if you have family visiting and you want to do something touristy. I thought they did a pretty good job making it festive around the park surrounded by Christmas music. Their tree at the entrance is beautiful in the daytime as well as nighttime. You can also enjoy poolside interactions with sea lions and dolphins as well as sea habitats for penguins, turtles, otters, and sharks. Right now when you purchase the 2016 Fun Card, you'll get to enjoy SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration this year Plus all that SeaWorld has to offer in 2016!
