On August 30th, we attended a "Dine and Donate" at Boudin SF's newest location in Huntington Beach. To celebrate their Grand Opening for September 4th, they partnered with a local charity - McKenna Claire Foundation. Because the location was yet not officially open, they couldn't take our money. Instead, attendees that RSVP'd were treated to either breakfast, lunch, or dinner (plus pastries) with the option to donate to the charity. It not only provided valuable hands-on training for the employees, proceeds went to a great cause!

For starters, we had to have their famous New England-style clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl!

On the lighter side, we shared their BBQ Chicken Salad which came with chicken, corn, black beans, tomato, tortilla strips, ranch dressing drizzled with bbq sauce. We also shared a Tuna Salad Sandwich on sliced sourdough. Tastes great!
We love that they have a kid-friendly menu which includes favorites such as grilled cheese, mac & cheese, ham or turkey sandwich, PB&J, or cheese pizza.

BREAD WINNERS EVENT
Boudin also hosted an amazing overnight event called the Bread Winners Event which started at 5 pm the evening before the grand opening. The first 100 people who lined up and spent the evening with them, received free bread for a year! They also served dinner, treats, entertainment, breakfast that evening. At 7:30 am the following morning, those attendees that made it through the evening, were awarded with a custom Boudin tin filled with 365 free bread cards. The total value of the bread giveaway is $1,300+.
