Destination Hyatt Palm Springs, CA | Buzz Trolley #HyattPalmSprings

You may have noticed we were in Palm Springs recently staying at the Hyatt Palm Springs. We were invited to enjoy the hotel then share our findings. If you're looking for a hotel that is centrally located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs (and all the night scenes), I think you'll enjoy staying here too. It's also on the route of the new Palm Spring's BUZZ trolley service which runs free Thursday through Sunday from 11 pm to 1 am every 15 minutes!

The BUZZ trolley travels in a 14 mile loop from Smoketree Lane and East Palm Canyon Drive north to Via Escuela. The four trolleys stop at 30 locations every 15 minutes making it convenient for everyone to get around downtown and uptown.  Hint: Get the free BUZZ card to get perks around town. More information here: new.buzzps.com. See the map below!

Inside the Hyatt Palm Springs, we enjoyed views of the San Jacinto Mountains and were very comfortable in our suite. All their standard suites come with separate living areas, refrigerators, furnished balconies, and modern furniture. They also have a limited number of Cabana Suites that have direct access to the pool from their rooms, VIP Suites, and Executive Suites. (We stayed in one of their nice standard double rooms with views of the pool and the mountains). The separate living room allowed us to work in one room without disturbing the other person resting in the other room.

Their outdoor pool is heated, and they have cabanas that you can reserve with VIP Bottle Service.  In the summer time when it gets super hot, they turn on their misters which are all around the pool and cabanas. You can see the Cabana Rooms on the right side below behind the curtains. (They have their own private cabanas accessible from their living room.)

The hotel has a special wall showcasing beautiful portraits of the winners and the award presenters from this year's Palm Springs International Film Festival. All the photos were taken backstage at the Award Gala by photographer Tali Song Roth within 5 minutes or less. She has a unique way of capturing their personalities on photos. Be sure to take the time to enjoy them. (You can also find some of her work on her website).

The hotel has unique meeting space that can fit a banquet of 150, an internet cafe, and a fitness gym that has a view of the mountains. Bikes and biking trails are available for hotel guest to enjoy. There is also a shopping center under construction next door due to complete in October 2016.

The hotel offers two dining options: HooDoo Patio Restaurant and SHARE. HooDoo is located right in front of the hotel and all the downtown action where you can enjoy live music Thursdays through Saturdays from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. On Thursday evenings, downtown Palm Springs turn into Villagefest Street Festival where they close down Palm Canyon Drive and pedestrians can visit the entertainers, artists, and street vendors. You can get a front row seat at HooDoo! HooDoo also offers BuzzBar ice cream and sorbet bars. (Get 15% off with the Buzz Card.)

At SHARE, we enjoyed cuisines from Executive Chef, James Wallace, like Sauteed Shrimp, Pistachio Crusted Salmon, and a delicious Ganache dessert. All of which we would order again.

The following morning , we enjoyed their omelet station as well as other breakfast varieties like bagels, fresh fruits, pancakes, pastries, etc. AND they served Starbucks Coffee! There were plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Palm Springs and will definitely stay there again for their spacious suites, location, beautiful views of the mountains, and amenities. Their staff is super friendly and their concierge was extremely helpful. It's great for a nice getaway from the big city, business travelers, and families.
