May is National Military Appreciation Month. At Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour Restaurants, all past and present servicemen and servicewomen who show their valid Military ID will receive a FREE red, white, and blue "Thank You Sundae"!This special treat includes strawberry and blueberry compote, 2-scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and topped with a cherry and an American flag. Civilians are more than welcome to purchase the patriotic sundae for $7.99 as $1 from each sundae will be donated to AMillionThanks.org.
Stop on by as AMillionThanks.org will also be collecting and sending thank you letters to servicemen and servicewomen around the world. What a great cause! It's an annual tradition at Farrell's. Everyone in our party filled out a letter. (The kids drew pictures of their favorite things). Military will also receive a $10 card good toward a future visit in the month of June at participating locations. (Available for dine-in only.)
About A Million Thanks:
Founded by Shawna Fleming (Michael Fleming's daughter) in 2004 with a goal to collect and send thank you cards to troops around the world. Shawna was a Freshman in High School when she started this cause. She is now the CEO of this foundation. Their three main goals are:
- Send letters to our troops.
- Grant a wish to an injured military member.
- Fund a scholarship to a child of a fallen member.
