Our weather has been pretty nuts lately. One week it's really hot outside, then it's cool and we're wearing sweaters the following week. On those really hot days, we love going to our community pool to play. It's great exercise for the kids, and it can also be very relaxing. Sometimes I take the kids right after they get home from school, and they love it. It's even better when family or friends join us at the pool, however, we need to be all on the same page about water safety especially with the Littles who do not know how to swim. My kids are getting swimming lessons this year, because they have outgrown their floating devices. I often worry about them because even though they have their safety devices, they like to grab and pull each other under when they panic or lose their balance making the other one swallow water.

For babies entering the pool for the first time, it can be really scary for them, but it doesn't have to be. SwimWays offers a variety of baby spring floating devices in different colors and patterns to help babies feel comfortable being in the water. Many of them include canopies offering shade to protect baby from the sun. Our baby girl was nervous at first when we put her legs in the floaty, but after seeing mom and her cousins enjoying the water and water toys, she started to forget her fears and started to feel comfortable being in the water. We were within arms reach the whole time helping baby feel safe, used calm encouraging words, and sang her favorite nursery rhymes. We also like that their folding devices folds compact for easy portability and storage. The canopy is detachable and can be used two different ways.
