For Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate and Princess Adventure in Long Beach, we sent our friend Tawny with her boys (BIG Jake and the Never Land Pirates fans) and this is what she reported...

If you have young kids who love Jake and the Never Land Pirates then you know just how crazy our kids get when they hear about the Merry Crew - Jake, Izzy, Cubby, Skully, Ahoy!  This adorable play features young Never Land Pirates racing to find a mysterious treasure-filled volcano, but they have to also race against Captain Hook.

Princess Sophia made a grand appearance right after a small opening act of Doc McStuffins.  It was a cute heartwarming story where Sophia realized it wasn't about what she gave her friends as gifts, but the thought that counts.  The girls all cheered as the show ended by making her really tall and beautiful.

Disney Live! is brilliant! They made the show interactive by creating a competition between the boys and girls. It was Pirates vs. Princesses - very clever!  We also loved that the show was colorful, musical, and captivating.  My kids were fully engaged, and the performers had all the kids get up to dance and sing.  To see their face light up when all the characters came out to the stage was priceless! My kids were grinning from ear-to-ear.


The special bubble effects were really cool, but my favorite by far was how the show incorporated many Disney characters.  Mickey and Minnie greeted us throughout the show. The next day, my son was chanting their song - "Pirates, no Princesses, Pirates, Princesses!"
