Halo Moments: LA Angels Partners Up with St. Joseph Health | @halo_moments #HaloMoments

The Los Angeles Angels partnered up with St. Joseph Health to recognize and promote the special moments and local heroes in SoCal that make a difference in our lives every day with two projects: “St. Joseph Health Heroes” and “Halo Moments”.

“Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing’s certain: We love the ones who pitch in for a better community,” said Angels catcher Chris Iannetta, who is supporting the awareness and recognition campaign. “Baseball players are looked upon by many fans as heroes, but the true heroes are the people who give selflessly of themselves to make their communities better for all. So go to halomoments.com and nominate your community hero today.”

ST. JOSEPH HEALTH HEROES

The St. Joseph Health Heroes campaign allows people to go to a special website where anyone can nominate a local hero by uploading a story and photo. The campaign encourages community members to share how people are making a difference in a moment, a day, or a life and provides an opportunity cheer on community members who are inspiring. Just for letting the community know about that outstanding individual, participants will be entered into a drawing to win an autographed baseball!

HALO MOMENTS

In addition to "St. Joseph Health Heroes," the Angels and St. Joseph Health are also offering a companion site called "Halo Moments" to share special moments in our lives that make us all unique, different and special. The site has received tremendous participation since its launch earlier this summer. For more information, please visit http://halomoments.com/.

“Halo Moments happen every day but are far from ordinary in their power to unite our community and inspire,” Iannetta said. “Like a game-winning home run, a Halo Moment is one worth remembering and can make us all proud.”

The St. Joseph Health Heroes and Halo Moments campaigns are part of a new three-year partnership between the Angels and St. Joseph Health, the Official Hospital Partner of Angels Baseball.

“The Angels are a perfect community partner for us and our hospitals,” said Deborah Proctor, President and CEO, St. Joseph Health. “The unique partnership is a wonderful fit for our organization because the Angels, like us, are committed to youth, education and the health of the underserved, as well as giving back to the community.”

Proctor said an overarching goal of the campaign is to spread awareness of the St. Joseph Health network and its hospitals in Southern California and the high quality health services provided to the community by encouraging fans and their friends and families to take small steps toward better health – together.

“We are proud to have the Angels as a partner dedicated to promoting the efforts of special people in the community through the St. Joseph Health Heroes and Halo Moments campaigns, and with creating greater awareness toward achieving better health for all of us,” Proctor said. “At St. Joseph Health, we believe life is precious, every moment of it. We want to honor people in this community who are making the most of every moment and making a difference here in Southern California.”
