BUG BOG SCAVENGER HUNT
We were greeted by an Entomologist. (I was really surprised my son knew what he did and was excited to learn all about the different types of bugs). We were given a map and a bucket. (Very informative map btw with fun facts about the bugs). Bugs creep me out, but these ones were fake. Thank goodness!
Later we found live ones in containers. Eeek!
However, the worms were really cool to watch.
At the end of the scavenger hunt, we exchanged our bugs and bucket for fun trading cards. My son LOVED this and had the biggest smile. (He had me read them over and over again).
EXPLORING ON THE FARM
We had fun exploring the museum. One of our favorites was playing in the farm. They currently have real pumpkins. My toddler loved this area so much and wanted to explore every inch. My oldest laughed at the weird shaped gourds.
On Halloween Day, Pretend City is having a special Halloween event for the kids. Bring them dressed in their Halloween costume and every 2 hours they can trick-or-treat throughout the museum!
They will also have these fun events:

- Sensational Story Time: Halloween Bugs—Behind each spooky door lurks a different bug. There’s the silly, the spooky, the scary, and everything in between during these story times. No tricks here—only treats!
- FREE Dental Screenings—10:00 am–12:00 pm (first come, first served)
